How to get Published:
Step One:
Step one in the process of converting your work to a final book format is to send either a CD or a hard copy of the manuscript. We will then discuss with you and provide a complete layout of what to expect in terms of timeframe and cost. It will then be up to you to decide if you wish to proceed.
Step two:
Once we agree on the terms, Jupiter4Press will then begin in earnest to design, lay out, format, and build your book. At each stage of this process, we will review the material with you to ensure we are meeting your expectations. During this time we will design your book cover either from scratch or from ideas and or sketches that you supply. We will also insert photos (if there are photos) into the body of the book in a fashion that suits you. Finally you will have the opportunity to offer your preferences as to the formatting design of the pages of your book.
Step Three:
Once the book formatting and layout are complete, we offer editing services, if this is still required. This process, unlike most publishing houses, does not entail changing your manuscript in any fashion. Your story is your story and we will only advise but never change it in any way. We would like to emphasize this point because we are publishers, not writers. It is our job to produce a book that meets your expectations, not change it in any way from the original.
Step Four:
At this stage of the process, Jupiter4Press then prints a galley (a rough bound of the final book) for you to review. The galley allows you to go through the finished book in its entirety to make any final changes prior to submitting for printing. It should be mentioned that once accepted and submitted for printing, there is a charge for each change thereafter. Therefore, we urge you to take as much time as necessary to review the galley.
Step Five:
Once the galley is accepted, it will then be sent for printing. One final proof copy of the book will be printed. (This is a relatively quick process.) Changes can be made, at a cost, then the book is resubmitted and another proof copy issued, if required.

Proof Copy & POD:
As soon as the proof copy has been accepted, you are ready to place your first order. As mentioned earlier, Jupiter4Press is a POD publisher. What this means in simple terms is that you can place an order for as many or as few books as you desire. The cost per book will, of course, vary against quantity but you have that flexibility. (Some publishers require you to purchase no less than 5,000 copies).
Book Control:
Finally, your book is your book. You own the rights to it and may at any time change publishers should you wish to do so.
Printing Options:
Soft Cover, Hard Cover and Color:
Your book can be either in soft cover or hard cover. The cost of each varies considerably and the timing will change slightly. There is also more work involved in preparing and publishing a hard covered book.
If you insert photos in black and white, the cost of the book remains the same as if there are no photos. Should you add color, then the cost of the book will increase. This does not apply to the cover which is viewed as an intricate part of the soft or hard covered book.
